Born and raised in Avon, Indiana, I graduated from Indiana University majoring in Political Science. I earned my Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
I find a great deal of joy in being a small town family lawyer. I spend my days helping people find a solution to their problems. Sometimes that solution is found in a courtroom, sometimes around a table. My favorite quote about law and the cornerstone of my practice:
“Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser - in fees, expenses, and waste of time. As a peacemaker the lawyer has a superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough.”
- Abraham Lincoln
